Ethics Statement

Our ethics statement is simple, and can be summed up in two points.

First, Do No Harm.

We are incredibly privileged that you have trusted us with something as personal as your genetic information. It’s important to be clear that we would never do anything to breach that trust. We are doctors, scientists and specialists who firmly believe in one very important principle – do no harm.

By talking with people like you, about the delicate issues surrounding genetic testing, we have taken all of these issues into consideration and developed a service which we believe will only ever do good. This is deliberately broad, because as we move into new territory to bring you the best of science, medicine and technology, this is the rule which will guide our actions. Do no harm.

Complete Transparency.

Trust is important to what we hope to achieve. And the cornerstone of trust is transparency. We will always explain everything we do, why we do it and if it involves you and your personal information, we will ask for your permission before we do anything.

We will never use any information in a way which you have not explicitly agreed to. We will never sell your data. If you wish for your data to be included in scientific research by external academic organisations, we will ask you to provide your consent.

We only exist to help you to live a longer and healthier life.
